Governance and compliance teams are being asked to keep one consistent operating model across more places, more records and more requirements. Board agendas need planning across committees, entity structures need to reflect local rules and tax realities, and ethics programs need to work in the regions, languages and systems employees actually use. The latest Diligent Boards, Entities and Compliance updates help teams bring that work into a clearer, more connected view, so they can move faster without losing control of the details that matter.
Board work depends on what happens before, during and around the meeting: planning agendas, preparing materials, capturing minutes and keeping communication moving securely. This month’s Diligent Boards updates help teams bring more structure to meeting prep, reduce admin friction and give directors faster access to the information they need.

Forward Planner gives admins a dedicated forward-planning workspace inside Diligent Boards, helping teams map agendas for boards and committees across multi-year horizons. Instead of relying on Excel planners, Word templates and email threads, CoSecs and governance teams can keep long-range planning closer to the books, meetings and minutes it supports.
AI Smart Minutes in Your Style helps teams produce minutes that reflect their organization’s preferred format and tone. Admins can use the Style Library to define a writing style from an approved minutes document, then apply it to AI-generated drafts so minutes are easier to review, refine and finalize.
Data Room ZIP Management lets users work with archive files directly inside the secure Data Room environment. Teams can double-click a ZIP file to browse its folders and files inline, extract the full archive into a new folder with the original structure preserved, and review file count, folder count and total size before opening. Password-protected archives are clearly flagged with a download option, and in-platform extraction supports ZIP archives up to 2 GB.
Meeting reminder emails now include a "Prepare faster with AI" section below the Review book button, giving users direct access to Smart Summary and Smart Prep documents for the relevant book. Directors and admins can move from reminder to preparation with fewer clicks, helping them arrive at meetings with the right context faster.
Secure Push Notifications with Message Preview also help users stay informed about important board communications in real time. On supported web and iOS platforms, users can see a preview of message content within the notification, helping them understand urgent updates sooner while maintaining security controls.
The Education & Templates Library continues to give governance, risk and compliance teams ready-to-use resources that reduce the need to start from scratch. This month, the library adds six new policy templates covering charitable donations and sponsorship, flexible working hours, parental leave and family-friendly working, customer complaint handling, gifts and hospitality, and fraud prevention and detection.
Entity teams need a clear record they can trust when structures get complex, documents arrive in volume and reporting requirements keep changing. This month’s Diligent Entities updates help teams understand relationships faster, find the right information sooner, reduce manual processing and connect entity data to the reporting work that depends on it.

Enhanced Group Structure Reporting helps teams make sense of complicated entity relationships in one clearer view. Instead of relying on a single vertical ownership chain, users can map relationships across an H-structure view to spot connections that might otherwise be missed.
Teams can also overlay ownership, tax and contractual relationships on one chart, reducing the need to export separate versions and compare them manually. For PE houses, funds and other complex structures, that means faster visibility into third- and fourth-party relationships and less risk of overlooking important connections.
Note: Enhanced Group Structure Reporting is an early-access update. Customers interested in using it should contact their Customer Success contact to request access.
The Entities AI Assistant helps users get to the right corporate record information faster using natural language prompts. Teams can ask for company details, user-defined fields or information across multiple entities without moving through several areas of the platform.
AI Bulk Upload now lets teams upload up to 50 documents through Import & Actions mode in the Entities AI Assistant. The assistant analyzes incoming files, suggests appointment events and helps teams move document-heavy work into a reviewable workflow faster.
Improved North Americas Localization helps teams create more precise documents for US states and Canadian provinces without rebuilding templates each time. Users can save localized document templates by state or province, then generate region-specific documents more consistently.
The update also adds full six-digit NAICS industry codes and descriptions for US and Canadian entities, giving teams more precise classification data for reporting and jurisdiction-specific categorization.
The Diligent Orbitax partnership helps customers use trusted entity data in global tax reporting and compliance workflows. As Pillar 2 and other tax requirements increase the pressure on tax teams, reducing manual reconciliation can help teams report with more confidence and less delay.
Diligent’s standard entity reports can show changes in legal entity structures and ownership across different time periods. Orbitax then uses that data to help tax teams identify which changes matter for tax compliance, reducing the effort required to compare current and prior-year entity data manually.
Global ethics and compliance programs need to work across regions without creating separate processes for every local requirement. This month’s Ethics & Compliance updates help teams reduce regional deployment barriers, support local data expectations and deliver training that feels more accessible for multinational workforces.

Speak Up Manager now supports Multi-Region Data Hosting, giving organizations more control over where sensitive speak-up data is hosted. For multinational compliance programs facing data residency, sovereignty and privacy requirements, this removes a common blocker to standardizing on one global whistleblowing platform.
The Compliance Education Q2 platform update helps multinational teams deliver training that feels more relevant to each organization and easier to access across regions. EU-hosted Diligent One accounts can now access Compliance Education, while branding, search and multilingual content improvements make the learner experience clearer and more usable.
Third-party risk teams need to move quickly without losing the evidence behind each decision. Third-Party Risk Intel helps teams turn manual vendor research into structured, source-backed risk summaries, so they can screen more third parties with less investigative lift.
Third-Party Risk Intel is now available as a free trial for eligible Diligent One Platform and Third-Party Manager customers, helping teams turn manual third-party research into decision-ready risk summaries in minutes. Users enter a company name and country, and TPRI resolves the entity, screens against global risk sources and produces a structured report with source citations.
